A Signature Life

“Let the beauty of what you love… be what you do”
- Rumi

As a makeup artist and skincare specialist in the late1970’s,
I was selling Calvin Klein’s first color cosmetics line at the department store.
Halston was topping the sales charts, and Lagerfeld launched his evening wear
signature fragrance for women. This started my life as a “designers” makeup artist.

Throughout my career I have worked for other iconic cosmetic lines such as;
Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Guerlain, Laura Mercier, and Francois Nars,
to name a few. In tough times and in the best of times, women and men turn to the luxury
of the cosmetics world to enhance their looks and brighten their spirits.

From 1970 to 2009, I have had the honor and privilege to have trained with,
and worked for, beauty and fashion industry’s elite including

Celebrity Makeup Artists:
Gina Brookes for Shu Emuru
  Madonna’s makeup artist
Pat McGrath
  Global makeup trainer for Aveda

Fashion Designers:
• Arnold Scassi
• Joseph Abboud
• Cynthia Rowley
• Heidi Weisel
• Cynthia Steffe
• Bradley Bayou
• Bryon Lars
• Mark Eisen
• Josie Cruz Natori

In addition to the beauty and fashion industry, I have also had
the rare opportunity to work and/or meet with national dignitaries and international royalty
along with a celebrity clientele. The following exclusive list includes:

The United States White House, Washington, D.C.

Hillary Clinton Former First Lady
Helen Thomas Former White House Correspondent for the National Associated Press
Janet Reno Former United States Attorney General
The United States Secret Service (client list secured and confidential)

International Dignitary/Royalty
• Diana, Princess of Wales /The House of Windsor

Today I am still evaluating every new color that comes out of the
spring, fall, and holiday designer’s collections. One thing that has never changed
is my passion for the beauty and fashion industry, in conjunction with the ability to transform faces.
In this industry, I have learned… that is beauty is irrelevant if it does not start from within.

There’s a freedom in being an artist. I’m grateful for the gift.
